Model Boats Magazine

The model sails very well The first time I sailed her was in very windy conditions, she heeled over a fair bit in the strong gusts. Without the keel she would have been on her side and. As a result I attached longer bars to the Keel to put it a little deeper. to improve stability further. Having said that the first time she was out the winds were stronger than I would normally sail in.
Columbus's keel (red) compared to the Keel from my Long Beach.

I don't have any photos of her in the water, she was featured in the November issue of Model Boats. Dave Wooley took some good on the water shots for the magazine.

Hope you enjoyed these pages. Me next build is the USS Canberra CAG-2.
